NSC 68 was National Security Policy Paper which was an extension of the Truman Doctrine. It allocated funds to allow
mass military buildup so that it would be able to counter communist expansion around the world. It also turned the United
States into a world police officer for preservation on democracy and to deter threat to a free world.
